Our thinking, and who runs the brand
PET DOT SHOP is planned and operated by Makers' Base Tokyo, which runs a large studio in Meguro, Tokyo as "a place for a quality hands-on experience of making something original". Combining the latest specialist equipment with the work of skilled hands, we share the joy of making with more than 20,000 customers a year. Launched during the pandemic in 2020, PET DOT SHOP is a premium made-to-order service that brings that same value to pet lovers without leaving home.

Cumulative totals since the service launched in April 2020. We have now passed 150,000 items.
We have been featured in many outlets, including an in-store shoot for BS-TBS's "Inu Jikan" and the magazines "anan", "CREA" and "Shi-Ba" (See the full list）。
Brand concept
There is something about your own pet that makes you want to show them off. On a walk, or in the photos on your phone. But why not in more ways, and on more occasions? That was our starting point.
"Pajamas" designed from the face of a beloved dog. A "pouch" designed from a cat's favorite pose. A "wallet" lining up every pet in a multi-pet household. A "club cover" for the golf course, an "eco bag" opened at the supermarket, a "tumbler" that steals the show at a café. Newborn and grown-up side by side, a "dream duet" between two who live far apart, or a way to keep loving a companion who has passed.
Every one of them is unique — designed and made by hand, one at a time.
How we make them
Just send a photo from your phone
No special preparation needed. Dogs and cats of course, but also rabbits, birds, hamsters, reptiles and every other pet, as well as multi-pet households, photos of people and hand-drawn illustrations.
A dedicated designer designs each piece
We cut out the background and adjust fur, brightness and color by hand, turning your photo into an original dot pattern rather than simply printing it as it is.
Handmade at our own atelier in Meguro, Tokyo
From printing the fabric through sewing and assembly, Japanese staff make each piece one at a time. We care about materials and process, so that what we make lasts.
Delivery
Usually 4 weeks (as little as 72 hours for an additional fee). Gift wrapping is available.
Planned and operated by Makers' Base Tokyo
Our operator, Makers' Base Tokyo (Makers Inc.), was founded in 2013. Centered on workshops, it is a making hub in Meguro, Tokyo that works with wood, metal, fabric, leather and many other materials across more than 100 specialist machines. Every designer there also does production work, so they can picture the finished piece and support each made-to-order project accordingly.
